I am a woman who strives to be the best mom and wife I can be. This among many things is a goal in my life... My Jesus, my family, my church are some of the most important things in my life. Everything else falls under that. I love spending time with my son, he is amazing and the reason I started this blog. I want to remember him just the way he is. I sing all the time, and would one day enjoy making a record with my amazing talented brother... My hubby is an amazing man who is my strength when I am week, and he backs me in everything and anything I want to do! This life is a journey, a path and I am on it. It may be a roller coaster at times, but there is a God and people who help see me through it. My family (including close friends) are the ones who see me through! My momma is one amazing woman, and if I may say so she is my hero, the one I look up to. Where would I be without her? I am passionate about my family and the well being of my amazing God sent son.

New Beginnings = New Mommy

I wrote this blog almost 9 months ago... just forgot to publish it!

July 16th 2011 marked the birth of a new little soul into this earth. A soul I have been commissioned by God to guard and lead. She is beautiful inside and out :-) this 5 day miracle has brought such change into my home, yet I am at peace. She is the light of my world. And big brother is warming up so well to her. Little Em is already the type that wants to cuddle you and be held ALL DAY. Oh my what will I do with this? Trying to make sure that big brother Ry knows that even though mommy is spending all her time with little Em, that I love him big as the sky. I try to tell him all day long how much I love him. I hope he know this. Just waiting on things to settle down and get somewhat back to normal. Including my own recovery process. For some reason my body with each of my kids puts me through about 4 days of labor before the big event. Amazing what the human body can handle. Made it to the hospital in time for an epidural thank the Lord, not sure I could have done it with out that :-) call me a wimp, but when your body has already undergone about 4 days of intense contractions, it's time for some pain relief. And I gladly took it, in fact I was impatient and wanted it right then and there. That was probably one of my first questions.... "when can I get the epidural" lol. I was so fortunate to be one of these girls that had to push for 2 and a half hours nearing 3... *sigh* however in the end it was completely worth it.

Looking forward to the next several years of my life to see what it holds!

Ramblings!!!

Yep, I'm 37 weeks pregnant, and I am oh so ready to have this little bundle of joy. Physically I am overwhelmed with being pregnant. This pregnancy has been so different from my first in so many ways. Let start with the first trimester. I was SICK every day. Any Momma out there knows that it's hard when you have a 2 year old and are sick everyday from being pregnant. My poor baby, he was lacking a proper mommy lol. Second trimester wasn't so bad but she moves way way more than my son did she is SO active. Even now at 37 weeks she is so active. My son was never THIS active.

We have about all our things in place for her arrival. It was a bit hard as we just moved about 3 weeks ago. So getting things set up for her to come is most pressing! But we are almost there. Things are looking up. Hubby and I are READY, READY, READY for her to come.

My little Ry, I'm not so sure he fully understands just what is going on. He really doesn't understand why he can't climb on mommy like he used to. Honestly I can't wait for this part of pregnancy to be over so I can cuddle, and love on my little man like I used to. Oh and play with him, without being afraid of him kicking me in the tummy and such. He is so amazing to me though. Honestly I have never seen a little one so smart :-) putting 4 word sentences together! I am a proud mommy. Raising him to honor God is our top priority. If we are praying and someone doesn't have their hands raised he will call out their name and say "PRAY" lol oh he really does crack me up!

All in all our family is just about ready for our 4th little person. Never thought I would be 25 and have two kids, but I just can't wait... I can honestly say there will be more babies to come! :-)

Babies, Babies and more Babies

I started our small registry for Target, not that we expect to have a baby shower as we don't have more than a few friends here. But still it will be nice to receive some things ha ha. Most of what I have on there are things we didn't get for our son, and a few things that just wont work for a girl that worked for a boy.

Were super excited about this new little addition to our family, we are going to look at a toddler bed today for my son and hopefully pick it up. There is so much that still has to be done for us to be prepared for our new addition. Since our two little one's will be sharing a room, we have to rearrange the room, get my son a toddler bed with new bedding, get my baby girl a bed set (she is using my sons crib) oh yeah AND GET MY SON POTTY TRAINED! I thought it would be easier than this, however I just started yesterday. My little Ry is so smart, I just don't know how to get him to understand that when you sit on the potty you GO, lol. He will sit down and just look at me like I'm crazy, so I sit there and talk to him and tell him that this is where you go potty. NOT in your diapers. So far the only progress we have made is the fact that he tells me he has gone potty in his diaper... NOT ON THE POTTY. I know we will get it one day :-)

Stress, Stress, and MORE STRESS!

When someone mentions the word stress, we all automatically get a feeling, whether it be a good feeling or a bad feeling, we all feel something. Some people thrive under the pressure of stress, and others buckle under the pressure. No matter what we do, we all have a reaction.

So I guess by now you have figured out that I am probably stressed out, and you guessed right. Right now is a trying time for my little family, with another one on the way. Mostly because money is tight, and work is a little hard for a pregnant mommy to be to find. I have even been on an interview, and got the job, however when they found out I was pregnant, they decided I was not a good fit for the company. How did that make me feel???? It made me sad, knowing I can't offer any financial help to my hubby.

Now my hubby is a great man, and works very hard to make a comfortable life for my son and I, but when the rubber meets the road... there is still a lack of money. I'm not sure how I can help my hubby out where money is concerned because I am 6 months pregnant. *Sigh* Oh what can I do? The conclusion I have come to is.... I have to trust in God, He knows exactly where we are, and what we are going through. And He WILL see us through. For now we just have to make do and see what God does.

LONG TIME COMING!

I have been so busy there has been no time to post on here. Crazy stuff has been going on. I have recently started on a business venture. When I was a teenager I worked at a tearoom. During my time there I learned a lot about the culture of Great Britain. I grew to love England and will one day visit there. However one of the many things I learned about in this period of my life was Scones. And that has been my own "little" business venture. The name of my business is "Scone Me" although at this time I am not fully pursuing my venture in the near future I will be going full steam ahead.

Another reason I have not visited my blog is because I recently found out that I am pregnant with baby number 2, so far this has been a very trying pregnancy. :-) But as we all know us women always make it through.

So I offer my apologies, I had a friend tell me a few months ago that I NEEDED to post ha ha life has just been a tad busy.

Happy Holidays to all. May this be the best year yet!

Growing UP!

My little Ry's room shows signs of a toddler, we now have a little table with chairs, a little rubber puzzle rug, and a castle that he recently got for his birthday in his room... My little man is growing up. The only thing in his room that still resembles a baby is the fact that he still has a crib instead of a toddler bed, which he will have for a bit longer I hope. I have resolved when he decides to be a little acrobat and climb out and over the side rail of his crib his bed will turn into a big boys bed.

His newest word is MINE! That is all I hear all day long... Mine, mine, mine! If I have a toy of his it's MINE! Goodness I can't say that I am super excited about this faze lol. He is also starting to throw a few temper tantrums hmmmm not sure this is a good thing. He gets in trouble when he throws them. Tell me, what are some of the things you have done to curb the throwing of the tantrums?

We just came back from week long vacation in South Carolina, it was great fun! I loved it, but I missed home so much. I am a home body, home is where I belong, even when I go to work somedays I long for my home. Oh just to be home!

My son is growing SO fast, it is so sad to watch, although I am enjoying every minute of it, I hate to see it happen... Where is the little baby I once held so close? He is growing into a big boy TO FAST!

Birthday Girl!

So if some of you did not know today was my birthday, and has been the most amazing birthday yet... Almost everyone I love was here it was an amazing day, I'm just tellin' ya lol. When I went to work I got a birthday cake :-) I work with some amazing people... Then I get home and had a present from my dad :-) that was nice... My son and I took a short nap, however when my son woke up he took off his diaper and went tee tee all in his bed :-( guess its time to potty train... The biggest down side to this was that I don't have a washer and dryer so I had to take his bedding to my mom's lol. Then we went out to dinner for my birthday... My momma surprised me with my traditional lemon cake that she makes for me every year, however most years I have to ask for it, this year she just surprised me with it, I didn't even have to ask for it. I opened my birthday presents, one of which my sister-in-law made me a book of my sons first year, I about cried lol. Then my momma told me my big birthday present was in her car so we went outside and to my surprise my mother-in-law sent me her CAR for my birthday :-) I feel absolutely loved today. I knew they were sending a car however it was going to be a two door 93 nissan sentra, what I got in its place was a 02 mazda tribute.... AMAZING DAY! Then to top it all of, I get home and my hubby bought me an espresso machine to make lattes with! Then I got to talk to one of my best friends...

Ok so now that i have told you about my amazing birthday, do any of my readers have any thoughts on how to potty train, my baby boy is only 14 months old... But it is evident with how many times he has taken off his diapers he is about ready to be trained so any help would be great thanks :-)
